Fun and Easy Easter Recipe by Alex

I work remotely for a car title loans company, so I’m able to stay home a couple days each week, giving me additional time to focus on fine tuning my recipes. I use my stretch breaks and lunch breaks to research recipes, perform cooking experiments, and pursue my true life passion: cooking!

One of my favorite things about cooking is that it gives me the opportunity to celebrate holidays in style. For example, every year at Easter I make an Easter bunny cake that always gets lots of compliments and goes down a treat with the family.

If you’re stuck for creative recipe meals this Easter, I’d highly recommend you try making your own Easter bunny cake. It’s super easy to make but delicious to taste, and will be gone in a matter of seconds once served!

Here’s my Easter bunny cake recipe:

Ingredients:

I Package of Cake Mix (Choose whatever color you like)
4 Cups Flaked Coconut
1 Package Vanilla Frosting
1 Packet of jellybeans
4 sticks of red licorice

Directions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Grease two nine inch round baking pans with butter or cooking spray
  3. Follow the cooking instructions on the back of the box of cake mix
  4. Mix in half a cup of flaked coconut into the cake mixture
  5. Divide the cake mixture into two halves and pour half of the mixture into each pan
  6. Bake and cool the cake according to the instructions on the cake’s box
  7. Once cooled, place one of the cake layers on a serving tray, making the bunny’s head.
  8. Cut two pieces of ear-shaped cake out of the second cake layer to form the ears, followed by placing one on each side of the bunny’s head
  9. Use any additional cake left to form a bowtie that is then placed beneath the bunny’s head
  10. Use the remaining cups of frosted coconut to make the bunny’s fur, scattering the coconut flakes all over the cake.
  11. Use the jellybeans to create the eyes, inner ears and to decorate the bunny’s bowtie.
  12. Use the licorice to create whiskers.
  13. Serve and enjoy!

My family really loves this cake; it’s become somewhat of a tradition. I hope you all love it as much as we do, have fun and bon appétit!
